Peng Tao

My name is Peng Tao. I obtained my Ph. D. in physical chemistry from The Ohio State University in December of 2006. My dissertation work under the guidance of Prof. Christopher Hadad was on computational study of a wide variety of molecular systems. Currently, I am a post doctoral researcher in Prof. H. Bernhard Schlegel’s research group at Wayne State University.
My involvement in a YCC activity started in 2006, when we decided to form a Graduate Student Symposium Planning Committee (GSSPC) at OSU. We successfully hosted a symposium titled “Exploring and Exploiting Nature with Biomimetics” in 233rd ACS National Meeting in Chicago, IL, 2007. Since then, I chose to keep my involvement with YCC and ACS active, because I think they are excellent platforms for all chemists, especially young chemists, to communicate with others, and obtain necessary experience and skills to pursue their career goals.
