Formulation Chemist(Full or Part Time Opportunities.)

Responsibilities Include:

Sample and testing of raw materials
Data collection and formulation of new products.

Required Skills and Work Experience:

Conduct analysis using laboratory equipment and calculations
Troubleshoot analytical methods; identify an solve problems in analysis
Ensure availability of materials and equipment to carry out analysis
Make detailed observations, analyze date and interpret results
Maintain complete and thorough lab notebook
Advise supervisor of factors that may affect quality, accuracy and
usefulness of data
Contribute ideas and suggestions to improve standard laboratory
techniques
Maintain familiarity with pharmacopoeia updates, and current instrument
technology
Review literature when required for assay development

Education/Training Required:

Bachelors degree in Chemistry or equivalent
Two or more years of product formulation with lotions and creams

A successful candidate would have a technical degree (chemistry preferred), be familiar with and understand EPA, DOT, & OSHA regulations.  He or she must have strong communication skills and be able to travel.  Supervision and on-site coordination of transportation and disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous waste, compressed gases, and packaged laboratory chemicals, including packaging, labeling, marking and drum preparation for lab cleanouts.
