Women Chemists Committee
(WCC roadmap for the DC 2009 National Meeting)

The Women Chemists Committee serves the membership of the American Chemical Society. Our mission is to be leaders in attracting, developing and promoting women in the chemical sciences. There are four goals designed to fulfill the mission statement:

  1. Attract women to a profession in the chemical sciences.
  2. Take an advocacy position within the ACS on issues of importance to women in the chemical sciences.
  3. Provide leadership for career development opportunities for women in the chemical sciences.
  4. Promote and recognize the professional accomplishments of women in the chemical sciences.
