Younger Chemist Travel Grant

This grant is to help subsidize travel to an American Chemical Society meeting to present a paper or poster or to attend workshops.

Criteria	The applicant should provide a proposal for the request. Greater consideration for grants to meetings located closest in proximity to the Section. Grants will be used only for expenses to attend a meeting or workshop (i.e., travel, lodging, meals, registration).

Dossier	The request must contain: • cover page with contact information • brief description of the purpose for the grant • estimated costs involved (include matching funds from other sources, if applicant is a group) • letter from professor endorsing travel

Cover Page	The cover page must contain: • the heading “Younger Chemist Travel Grant” • the applicant’s affiliation • the applicant’s name, business address, business phone, email • the supervisor’s name, if applicable

Application due date	Three copies of the grant must be sent to Dr. Kathryn Louie, Awards Chair, University of Arizona, ARLDN, 1040 E. 4th St./Gould-Simpson 615A, Tucson, AZ, 85721. Award	The Grant amount will be up to $500.00.

Presentation	The applicant will be required to provide a written report upon completion of the event. Proof of meeting attendance (i.e., copy of badge) must be provided.
