College Educator Award for Excellence in Teaching

This award is given for excellence in teaching chemistry, biochemistry, or a chemistry-related field at a post-secondary institution that does not offer a Ph.D.-granting program in that field.

 
Criteria
The nominee shall be currently teaching a chemistry-related discipline. The nominee must reside within the Southern Arizona section of the American Chemical Society.
   
Dossier
The nomination dossier must contain:
•cover page
•curriculum vita that contains educational background, teaching experience and accomplishments and any outreach activities
•letter from the nominee describing his or her teaching philosophy
•letters of nomination and a letter of support
•additional letters of support from students are encouraged

   
Cover Page

The cover page must contain:
• the heading "College Educator Award for Excellence in Teaching Cover Page"
• the nominee's name, business address, business phone, email, and home address
• the nominator's name, business address, business phone, and email
• the second nominator's name, business address, business phone, and email

   
Application due date Three copies of the nomination dossier may be sent to Dr. Kathryn Louie, Awards Chair, University of Arizona, Arizona Research Labs/Division of Neurobiology, Gould Simpson Bldg., Room 615A, 1040 E. 4th St., Tucson, AZ, 85721. Award
The Award will include $1000 and a plaque.
   
Presentation The award will be presented at the Awards Reception in late April hosted by the Southern Arizona Section of ACS.
