Craig Aspinwall Undergraduate Student Travel Award

This award is to help subsidize travel for an undergraduate student to present a paper or poster at a National or Regional American Chemical Society meeting.

 
Criteria
The award is available to any undergraduate in chemistry, biochemistry or a chemistry-related field. The applicant must provide a proposal for the request. Greater consideration will be given for meetings located closest in proximity to the Section. Awards will be used only for expenses to attend a meeting (i.e., travel, lodging, meals, registration).
   
Dossier

The request must contain:

•cover page with contact information
•brief description of the purpose for the grant
•estimated expenses involved
•a copy of abstract and proof of abstract submission/acceptance
•letter from professor endorsing travel

   
Cover Page

The cover page must contain:
• the heading “Craig Aspinwall Undergraduate Student Travel Award”
• the applicant’s affiliation
• the applicant’s name, business address, business phone, email
• the supervisor’s name, if applicable

   
Application due date Three copies of the award must be sent to Dr. Kathryn Louie, Awards Chair, University of Arizona, ARLDN, 1040 E. 4th St./Gould-Simpson 615A, Tucson, AZ, 85721. Phone: (520) 626-2276, Email: klouie@email.arizona.edu. Deadline: Three (3) months before date of travel. Only one application per year per applicant.
   
Award
The Award amount will be up to $1000.00.
   
Presentation The applicant will be required to provide a written report upon completion of the event. Proof of meeting attendance (i.e., copy of badge) must be provided.
