I am pleased to announce that
chemistry student Natalie LaFranzo is the
recipient of the Bradley University/Smith
Career Center 2006 Outstanding
Co-op/Intern of the Year Award,
representing the
& Sciences. Natalie conducted her internship at
the USDA - NCAUR - ARS
under the supervision of Dr. Girma Biresaw. Each year, Bradley
University recognizes up to five
students for their outstanding
achievements in a co-op or internship. These
students participated in a
career-related work experience that was
exceptional in content and
performance of duties. The award application
guidelines are described in
the attached document.
Each year,
in a co-op or internship experience.
In November, students are asked to
submit an application for the award
(approximately 20-30 applications
are received annually). The
applications are reviewed by faculty members
and career advisors. The final
selection committee chooses one winner
per college.
Following is a list of the 2006

* Winners serve as a guest speaker at
one or two career-related
events during the spring 2007 semester.
