Haiku Contest!
The Illinois Heartland section of the American Chemical Society invites you
to enter a haiku writing contest to celebrate Earth Day!
What’s a haiku?
Haikus are 3-lined poems often with a nature theme. 
They have 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, and
5 in the third line.
 Entries will be judged by the Illinois Heartland Section of the
American Chemical Society and prizes will be awarded to the winners
in each grade category.  In addition, the first place winning haiku from
each grade level will be sent to compete at the national level for a
chance for more prizes!!
 The haiku entered must follow some guidelines
in order to be considered for our contest.   Entries not adhering
to these rules will not be considered.
