2007 Student Travel Awards


At the Montana Section's Meeting-in-Miniature, held at Montana Tech on April 14, 2007, awards were given to undergraduate and graduate students who made outstanding presentations. Congratulations to this year's winners:
  • Travis Harris, Bozeman (MSU, undergraduate) - "Chlorine K-edge and ruthenium L-edge x-ray absorption spectroscopy of Ru(III)-based anti-cancer drugs and Ru(II)-based derivatives"
  • Sarah Cullison, Missoula (UM, graduate) - "Improvement of an autonomous instrument to measure aquatic pCO2"
  • Jessica Gilbert, Missoula (UM, graduate) - "Probing structural differences of recombinant prion isoforms using fluorescence spectroscopy"

Their award consists of up to $750 for travel expenses to attend a national meeting of their choice.
