Local Sections Celebrate 100 Years

In 2007, three local sections will celebrate their 100-year anniversaries: St. Louis, Syracuse, and Wisconsin. That makes 22 that have reached the 100-year mark!

Local sections are to be congratulated for the critical role they play in positively influencing the public’s perception of chemistry and its practitioners. They provide outreach and educational programs for both their local and scientific communities, as well as networking opportunities for local chemists.

One-hundred years is a major milestone, but let’s not forget the 164 sections that have reached the 10-, 25-, 50-, or 75-year milestone! Happy Anniversary!
