The Wizards’ Academy, designed to engage late elementary and middle-school children in the wonders of science.  The participants will gather at the museum to enjoy all things wizardly, from animals to spells to levitation. The young students will be dazzled in the wonders of physics and chemistry by University of Indianapolis students.  

Participants are encouraged to come in costume.

  • Mad scientist Sam Wendel and his fantastic booth full of Kids activities – will join us from 1 – 3pm to GREET museum guests and SIGN autographs
  • Don’t miss Guy Hansen and his Chemistry is a Blast! team who will delight and thrill you with the EXPLOSIVE nature of chemistry in the Lilly Theatre at 11am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm
  • Jaclyn Barrett and her Kids and Chemistry – Jiggle Jelly Program in the BioTech Lab at 10:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, 2:30pm and 3:30pm.
In addition, local companies, universities, and professional organizations will be on hand throughout the day with interactive experiments and demonstrations.
