National Chemistry Week Celebration
The Indiana Section of the
American Chemical Society celebrates National Chemistry Week in two different
but equally fun and important ways this year. The 2008 theme coordinates with
the Olympic Games in
World Walk, Hosted by Samaritan’s Feet
Join thousands of
participants (including several members of the ACS local section!) in the World
Walk as we simultaneously walk one mile at 12:00pm (EST) in support of the
Samaritan’s Feet mission to put shoes on the feet of children who have none.
The Walk will be held on Saturday, October 25th at
17th
This year’s High School
Competition will test the creativity of the participants, and, like the World
Walk, incorporates philanthropy as an important focus. The 12 participating
high school teams received $200 and a Flip video camera and are required to
“give” the $200 away, using the camera to record the team’s efforts. The videos
will be judged according to several criteria, and the winners will be honored
by a BOOMER
