ARE YOU A
YOUNGER CHEMIST?
As much as
we’d all like to belong to this category, the ACS Younger Chemist Committee has
a specific definition: if you are an ACS member 35 and under or just getting
started in your career, then you are a younger
chemist.
The ACS
Younger Chemists Committee (YCC) was established in 1974 to focus on the
specific issues facing younger chemists within ACS. Its mission is to address the needs of younger chemists in the
Society
through
programming and support activities, and to serve as a voice to the Society on
behalf of younger chemists. The
ultimate goal of a local Younger Chemists Group is to help younger chemists
connect with
one another
professionally and socially.
If you fit
the “younger” category and would like to get involved in our Younger Chemists
Group, contact Dr. Guy Crundwell at crundwellg@ccsu.edu,
or Dr. Barry L. Wescott at westcottb@mail.ccsu.edu.
