Chemist - Two Positions Available
Requirements
for Position:
·
Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry with at least
2 years of industrial experience in process chemistry or a M.S. degree in
organic chemistry with at least 5 years of industrial experience in process
chemistry.
·
Experience in synthesis optimization and scale-up.
·
Strong scientific/technical skills, effective
verbal and written communication skills, troubleshooting skills, and creative
skills in the design of scientific experiments and interpretation of results.
·
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a
multidisciplinary team
·
A working knowledge of cGMP/GLP requirements as
they pertain to manufacture of drug substance.
Primary Responsibilities:
·
Design and optimization of syntheses suitable for
scale-up and manufacture of APIs under cGMP.
This will include extensive laboratory work.
·
Documentation of results including maintaining a
detailed laboratory notebook, providing written reports, summarizing results in
presentations at team meetings and writing summaries for regulatory filings.
·
Oversight of work conducted at contract
laboratories including conducting technology transfer, regular teleconferences,
review and approval of project plans and batch records and effective management
of project timelines.
·
Timely communication of results and timelines
within a multidisciplinary team
