Abstract: For decades, environmental groups and industries have been portrayed as near mortal enemies with little or no dialogue to resolve disagreements. In some cases, this conflict was justified. But, in the 21st Century more is being achieved for the environment by finding common ground and working together to solve challenges. In ‘Ecology, Economy and the Sea,’ Jean-Michel Cousteau describes the new dynamic among corporations, governments and environmental organizations that puts their mutual interests in the forefront of progressive public and economic policy.
