As part of their Chemists Celebrate Earth Day celebration, the Central Arizona American Chemical Society (ACS) sponsored an illustrated haiku contest for students in grades K-12.  Selected entries are shown below.  Cash prizes were awarded to the two best entries in each grade category and sent off to ACS National to compete for a $200 and $100 grand prizes.  Judging was extremely difficult, as many talented entires were reviewed.  See for yourself below.  You can click on any of the photos for a larger version.
