May Local Section Annual Awards Meeting
Our 2009 annual awards banquet will consist of a dinner at 6 PM followed by the awards and then Dr. Tracy Hamilton as our speaker at 7 PM
Thursday, May 14th
On the campus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham
Dinner at 6 PM in the University Dining Facility (UAB Commons on the Green). Dinner is free to all of those who notify Tracy Hamilton at hamilton@uab.edu or (205) 934-8956 by Monday, May 11th, so that we may arrange for catering. Parking is available in the parking lot on the corner of 9th Avenue South and 16th Street South.
The Awardees are:
Dr. Aris Merijanian, 50-year member of the ACS
Mr. Billy Bethel Ferguson, 60-year member of the ACS.
Chemistry Olympiad finalists
Chemistry Teacher of the year- Bryan Rosenstiel, Hoover High School (see complete listing of all Teacher of the Year awardees since 1990)
