182nd 2YC3 Theme: “Challenges and Benefits of Undergraduate Research in Two-year Colleges”

The Two Year College Chemistry Consortium (2YC3) will join with the ACS Southern Nevada Section in co-sponsoring WRM 2008 which will be held at the Riviera Hotel, 2901 Las Vegas Blvd., So., Las Vegas, NV 89109 on September 24-27, 2008. The 2YC3 Program will take place on September 26-27, 2008. 2YC3 members may register and attend the entire conference for the same special fee of $40.00 (advanced online registration) and $50.00 (onsite registration).

The Riviera Hotel is in the heart of the famous Las Vegas Strip in walking distance from the Canal Shops at the Venetian Hotel, the Fashion Show Mall and the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. Other points of interest in the area include the Atomic Testing Museum, Hoover Dam, Red Rock Recreation Area, the Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Cactus Garden. Musical, comedy and magic entertainment shows are easily found throughout the “Strip” as well as the art galleries of the Bellagio, Venetian and Wynn Hotels.

In addition to 2YC3 paper, workshop and poster presentations and the traditional 2YC3 Friday evening banquet, the WRM will include a wide variety of paper and poster presentations, a High School Chemistry Education symposium, an undergraduate student program, luncheons, an Awards Banquet and an Exhibition in a 12,000 Sq. Ft. Exhibit Hall located right across the hallway from the meeting rooms in the Riviera Convention Center. Plan now to attend the 182nd 2YC3 and if possible the entire WRM.

Those wishing to present a paper, workshop or a poster at the 2YC3 should contact one of the 2YC3 Program Co-Chairs:
