Summer Educational Experiences for High School Students Called Project 'SEED'
UPDATE by Ann Leslie Each year the CSW provides funds to support economically disadvantaged high school students to work on a scientific research project during the summer. The first step is to invite you who have research projects in local industries and universities to consider taking in a student for eight weeks, to work alongside others in the research lab. All that we need for now is an indication that you might like to do this, by volunteering to interview a student this winter. (If you can supply me with names of people to contact that would be very helpful!) We will provide several students for you to talk to. If you decide to participate, we will also need a brief written statement of the type of research project the student will work on, including the types of materials, instruments, etc, that they will be using. We can help with this. If you are interested, please contact me for further information. By regular mail, email, or phone: Ms. Anne R. Leslie, 6024 Telegraph Road, Alexandria, VA 22310-2117, aleslieipm@aol.com ,or 703-960-0095 |
