If you have never used the system before you need to create a user name and password. This will allow you to get back into the system and change/edit your abstract. You must remember your username/pw or you will have to enter everything again. There is no easy way for me to fix it for you.
Once you are into the system, select
CREATE/EDIT abstract from the Author Tools line. This will bring up any abstracts you have already submitted. You can edit one of those by clicking on the
TITLE or you can click on the Create New Abstract button at the bottom of the page. The next page asks you to select
INVITED (if a chair has contacted you and asked you to speak) or CONTRIBUTED (if you would like your abstract to be considered for the session). Then select SAVE and CONTINUE.Read the instructions and press
Acknowledge and Continue at the bottom of the page. This will bring you to the
Author Information Page. The first time you bring up this page only your name will be shown. You will click on Add/Edit Authors to complete the info and add additional authors. Once this is completed you will click on SAVE and CONTINUE.The table will be populated with your name as the
ENTERING Author (E).Fill in the rest of your information
.Employer/University
refers to your employer - either company or University name. Enter you Department if there is one. School refers to a subdivision of your university. (Example Rutgers University College of Pharmacy). The rest of the information is the address you want listed -either home or work/school.
Then click on
SAVE and then ADD an author or just SAVE and CLOSE when you are done with authors. The next page is the
AUTHOR Eligibility question. Just scroll to the bottom of the page and check YES and then SAVE and CONTINUE. This reflects that you are either a member of the ACS or have been invited by an ACS member. (I'm invited you - so don't worry about it !)The next section is TOPICAL AREA. Please choose the session you want to present your abstract in. For more information about the session go to the MARM webpage and look at the expanded program.
