Alex McCarthy of Liberty High School won the ACS Award for Outstanding Chemistry Project for his research on "Insulating Properties of Pyridine Based Compounds in Application to Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells".  Alex's mentor was Prof. Carl Wamser of Portland State University.
