The Division of Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering acknowledges the contributions from our industrial supporters on behalf of POLYED, the Polymer Education Committee. POLYED is the joint education committee of PMSE and POLY and interacts with a number of other ACS and non-ACS groups interested in science education, in general, and polymer education in particular.

The major purpose of POLYED is the nurturing of education at all levels from kindergarten through post graduate, including professionals seeking continuing education. Some of the numerous POLYED programs include education symposia, teacher training, awards for a variety of functions, including polymer curriculum development, undergraduate travel, organic chemistry, excellence in polymer education by a high school teacher and the AkzoNobel Graduate Student Award.
