Hello...Welcome to the Oklahoma Local Section Home Page. We are a local
chapter of the American Chemical Society located in Oklahoma. This group promotes public
awareness of chemistry by being involved in outreach programs in our community, and works
with students to encourage an interest in the chemical sciences.
| The Oklahoma Section of the ACS seeks to: |

Promote the public perception and understanding of chemistry and the
chemical sciences thorough public outreach programs and public awareness campaigns; |

Host regional, state and local section meetings for the exchanging of
ideas, information and chemical research discoveries; |
|
|
Through the national ACS office, provide career development assistance
and employment opportunities for students & professionals in academia & private
industry; |
|
|
Foster communication and understanding between members, and the community
to enhance the quality of scientific research, and support economic progress in the state; |
|
|
To foster an awareness of the profession and a sense of professional
responsibility among members and students. |
