Creative Advances in Measurement Methods for Volatile Organic Compounds in Multimedia Matrices

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Dr. R. K. M. Jayanty, Jay to his many friends and colleagues, was a member of the Symposium Committee for the 1998 Southeastern Regional Meeting. He also played a key roll in development for the meeting by identifying a number of contacts who supported the meeting financially.

Dr. Jayanty received his B. S. and M. S. degrees from Andhra University in India. He received his Ph. D. degree in Physical Chemistry from the University of Bradford, Bradford England. He also received a Master of Engineering Degree from Pennsylvania State University.

Dr. Jayanty has been an employee of the Research Triangle Institute for the last 22 years. During this time, he has developed unique and valuable multi-media methods for the measurement of volatile organic compounds in air. Dr. Jayanty's work has significantly advanced the state-of-the-art of measurement of volatile organics in ambient air and in industrial source and hazardous waste emissions. Dr. Jayanty has over 120 technical papers and reports published or presented in national and international journals or meetings. His accomplishments have been recognized by many scientific and professional organizations.
