MO-KAN-OK, The Tri-State Section News

Summer Vacation

The next MO-KAN-OK ACS meeting will be the August Picnic, perhaps in Nevada. More information will be forthcoming.

As always, members and guests are invited to attend; a quick email to the editor for a head count is appreciated.

We have a website for the 40th Annual Midwest Regional ACS Meeting! Visit www.mwrm2005.org, or click on the logo in the header of this page. There's not much there yet, but I'll update it as info becomes available.

Welcome to the Mo-Kan-Ok Local Section Home Page! We are a local chapter of the American Chemical Society serving communities in southeast Kansas, southwest Missouri, and northeast Oklahoma. The American Chemical Society promotes public awareness of chemistry by being involved in outreach programs in our community and works with students to encourage an interest in the chemical sciences.

Members of our section come mainly from local buisnesses, colleges and universities, and high-schools. Some of these organizations are Eagle-Picher Industries, Pittsburg (KS) State University, Missouri Southern State University (Joplin), Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (Miami), Fort Scott (KS) Community College, Cottey College (Nevada, MO), and Crowder College (Neosho, MO).
