The ACS Hawaii Local Section has operated continuously since its chartering in 1922. The Hawaii Local Section hosts the International Chemical Congress of Pacific Basin Societies (PACIFICHEM), held in Honolulu every five years. This event has become one of the largest and most prestigious of international scientific meetings. At the last congress in 2005, over 11,000 papers were presented, a record for any technical meeting ever held. We look forward to seeing you at the next PACIFICHEM in 2010.
