U.S.
National Chemistry Olympiad (USNCO) Team Brings Home Medals From the 35th International Chemistry
Olympiad (IChO).
The 35th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) competition
was held in Athens, Greece from July 5-14, 2003. The U.S. was
represented by Eric Brown of Chattanooga, TN; Frances Hocutt
of Redondo Beach, CA; Benjamin Kaduk of Naperville, IL; and
Wei-Han Bobby Liu of Cookeville, TN. Lui won a silver medal,
and Brown, Hocutt, and Kaduk received bronze medals in the
competition. The U.S. Team was selected at the conclusion of
the 2003
USNCO Study Camp, and included alternates, Jaline
Gerardin, of State College, PA, and Chaoyuan Kuang, Ann Arbor,
MI.
